Explanation of results
Using the GP Patient Survey 2008/09 results website you can analyse the results further yourself by using one of the following data analysis tools:
- Practice results
- Profile Analysis
- Cross Tabulation
For each of these data analysis tools the data is presented in a chart or data table format.
Explanations of these data formats have been included below:
1) Charted data – available via the Practice results and Profile Analysis tools:
The charted data shows the percentage results for your chosen question.
The X axis (going across the page) shows the answer categories available for that question.
The Y axis (going up the page) shows the percentage scale from 0% to 100%.
All charts include the exact question wording and a description of those who responded (‘Base’).
2) Data table – available via the Practice results, Profile Analysis and Cross Tabulation tools:
The data table shows the percentage results for your chosen question (%), as well as the number of respondents who answered the question (N).
The table includes all of the answer categories for that question (first column).
A description of those who responded (‘Base’) is shown in the ‘Total’ row.
Please note where a response code has 10 or less respondents the data is suppressed for data protection issues. When this occurs a ‘*’ will appear where the data has been suppressed.
